Whose Picture Is That?

Who do you think owns the images online? The images online have a thing called copyright. Have you heard of that before? What do you think it means?

Copyright is when you take someone's idea and claim it yours.

We are learning to find and use images we have permission for. The best way to get an image that is in the public domain (copyright free) is to use the ‘search the web’ option in Google drawings or the Explore tool in slides and docs.

  • We used the Explore tool to search different images that people have given permission to use.
  • We learnt how to take a photo using our chromebook camera.
  • We clicked on the button on the bottom left-hand corner to open up the camera.
  • We also learnt how to resize images from the corner so they do not get tall and skinny or short and fat (distort).
